Tikkun olam, the act of repairing the world has always been at the forefront of who Sinai is as a congregation.

Throughout its history, Chicago Sinai Congregation has embraced a commitment to participate in the betterment of the community and social action on behalf of the poor, the deserted, the oppressed and the hungry. From its abolitionist founders to the advocacy of gay, lesbian and women’s rights, Sinai members have made their voices heard through both advocacy and direct service.
