Supper at Fourth Presbyterian Church
We continue our commitment to help feed the homeless by cooking and serving dinner at Fourth Presbyterian Church from 2:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Eight volunteers (16+ years old) are needed. To sign up please email Merle Terry at Mterry1013@aol.com. Upcoming dates are: May 16 and June 20.
Monday Meal
On the second Monday of every month we invite you to join us as we help Fourth Presbyterian Church serve dinner at Catholic Charities, 721 North LaSalle Street. Eight volunteers are needed from 3:30 p.m. until 6:15 p.m. To sign up please email Eva Farkas at eva.farkas@sbcglobal.net.
Second Sunday Lunch Program
On the second Sunday of every month we make bag lunches to donate to the Greater Bethlehem Healing Temple. Bag lunches include a sandwich, juice box, packaged bag of chips and packaged dessert. We are committed to donating 200 bag lunches on each second Sunday. If you would like to donate a lunch or two, please drop them off at the Temple no later than 10:00 a.m., the second Sunday of each month.
Sinai Schools Initiative
Many volunteers have been placed at Jenner School as reading tutors and classroom aides. There is still room for additional volunteers to help in the classroom, one-on-one with students, or working with small groups.
Project Linus
Join us to make fleece blankets for donation to local women's shelters. No experience necessary.
High Holy Days Food Drive
This drive collects and distributes canned goods to soup kitchens in Chicago.
Winter Holiday Toy Drive
Help spread the holiday spirit each December by donating new, wrapped toys for children of various ages. These gifts will be delivered to children throughout Chicagoland who are affected by poverty.
Mitzvah Weekend
Mitzvah Weekend incorporates more than 20 separate programs. We need many volunteers to make this day a success!
