Our Committees

Chicago Sinai Congregation is strongest when more of its members participate in the work of the Temple.

Art & Judaica

Plans and sponsors art exhibitions at Sinai; responsible for overseeing the acquisition of new works for the Temple and maintaining the existing collection.

Care

Tends to the needs of our Congregation and our community.

Finance

Acts as an advisory group on finance and investment to the Executive Director and the Board of Trustees; develops the Temple budget.

Engagement and Membership Task Force

House

Recommends and oversees facility improvements and maintains the building’s overall functionality.

Interfaith

Maintains and establishes Sinai's community presence and coordinates the annual Interfaith Seder.

Library

Maintains the library and Sinai archives as a resource for members and clergy.

Music

Works with the Director of Music to maintain Sinai’s commitment to high artistic standards; plans special musical programming

Planned Giving

Responsible for investigating and proposing a plan for long-term planned giving

Preschool

Extends Sinai’s values and mission to the preschool to deliver a caring, high-quality Early Childhood Education program.

Religious School

Acts as an advisory group to the director of Religious School Education; supports all religious school activities.

Social Action

These committees lead the Congregation in the mitzvah of tikkun olam.
